Marvel’s Antman Sequel Is a Hilarious Event

If you’re a young, living, breathing human being right around the ages of 4 and 110, it is virtually guaranteed that you will be seeing “iron man three” sometime this month. And not only once, but many times indeed. Seeing “iron man three” just once is not an option; it is definitely not an option. You have got to see it a dozen times if you want to be doubly sure. Or triple assured, at least.

This is the third installment of the hit, “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” which features an all star cast headed by Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Samuel L. Jackson. The movie “Avengers: Age of Ultron” has really opened up the box office this weekend, earning a phenomenal $3.7 million over the weekend for its opening night. That is well on its way to making up the enormous profits that Disney is enjoying with “Wreck-It Ralph” and the other animated hit that opened last summer. It is also a very well performing comedy and is expected to continue to earn rave reviews well into the next week.

In the first two films, “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Iron Man played by Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson had a nice supporting cast, consisting of the always exciting Anthony Mackie as Rhodey. But in the newest film, “Age of Ultron,” there is a much bigger cast involved, which makes the film a whole lot more fun to watch. With the inclusion of Scarlett Johansson as the evil genius Dr. Maximoff, the dynamic duo of Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson have a much better chance of stealing the spotlight from Robert Downey Jr. in the future films.

Of course, it was not a big surprise that Mark Wahlberg would have a role in the new “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” He recently played an important role in the hit movie “The Informant!” But we didn’t see any of Wahlberg’s work on the big screen until the very end of the second film, where he plays the bad guy instead of Maximoff. It was a welcome change for those fans who thought nothing of having Wahlberg in the first two movies.

What makes the character of Antman so unique is his ability to combine the super-fast agility of a runner with the durability and strength of an armored martial artist. One of the most impressive feats of the comic book hero is when he can swing from a speeding vehicle and then move like a gladiator on a battlefield. While many actors can only dream about tackling an army of aliens with a brawny super tank as their main form of transportation, Wahlberg manages to run through the sea of alien goons with relative ease. Indeed, he can run faster than a speeding vehicle, jump tall buildings, and survive a fall from a helicopter. All of this is possible thanks to the incredible strength of the Iron Man Three suit.

With all of these incredible features, what makes Antman so cool is the interesting storyline. Writer Dan Panosian and artist Greg Burris have crafted a story that is as thought-provoking as it is entertaining. The fighting between Rhodey and the Mandarin, the romance between Peter and Elizabeth Shaw’s Sally Carter, and the interactions between the Hulk and Terminus (obyne Craig’s Hulk) are all engaging. What makes the movie truly special is the way that costume design and human anatomy are brought to light. There are a lot of awesome visual aspects to the movie, but the best bit is the terrific script to help tell the story.
