Iron Man Nerf Gun Review

The Avengers super heroes need the latest powerful weapons to defend against intergalactic attacks. This Iron Man Strikeshot Gauntlet expands at the pull of a handle and blasts NERF projectiles to battle enemies. With Marvel, kids and fans alike can imagine battling alongside their favorite heroes and defending the world against evil villains.

The Mech Strike gauntlet is pretty cool looking, but the NERF darts are kind of flimsy so they break fairly easy and also tend to fly far and high up which could lead to injuries. The nerf gun also has quite a bit of complexity and has a bit of a learning curve to use it properly but once you get the hang of it it’s a lot of fun and really gets your adrenaline going. If you’re buying this for someone who is older than a kid it might be better to go with something else.

This Nerf gun is an adaptation of the Nerf Magstrike, a new generation of that model with Iron Man styling. It includes a 10-dart clip and vinyl sheet of targets, and is able to rapid fire the whole load with one press of the trigger. It also has a unique firing mechanism that uses the wrist and arm movement to fire, similar to a repulsor blaster.

It’s a great piece of merchandise for anyone who is an Iron Man fan and makes for a very cool gift for someone who you think would like it. The packaging is well done and the figure itself looks good with no real glaring issues. The only thing that could be improved would be some paint work on the stands, as they look a bit cheap. They could have added a few more details, such as stylized wires sculpted into them, which would have been cool.

As an addition to the Marvel Mech Strike series, Hasbro has also released a number of figures and blasters that are inspired by various other characters from the Avengers universe. The Iron Man Assembler Gear sets let kids build and combine them to imagine taking on the role of their favorite superheroes.

The Nerf Gun Iron Man Civil War is a decent piece of merchandise, but I’m not sure it would have been worth the price I paid for it. I would have been happier with it if it included a head that looked a little more like Robert Downey Jr and had the ability to fire more than two darts at a time. That said, it’s still a pretty fun toy and I’m happy to have added it to my collection.
