If you’ve been following the Marvel Cinematic Universe for any length of time, you’ve probably seen the Iron Man Mark I. This new version features a scaled-down arc reactor that can be displayed fully lit. Likewise, you’ll find the iconic weaponry and movie-inspired base, as well. So, what’s new with this new version? Continue reading for a look at all the things you need to know about this new Iron Man model.

The Mark 1 armor was originally designed by Tony Stark and serves as the prototype for all future Iron Man suits. While the Mark 1 armor is far less sophisticated than later models, it was more than enough to get Stark to safety while keeping him out of terrorists’ reach. In addition, it’s the most lightweight of all Iron Man suits. It is also capable of flight and can provide life support. While this new suit may not be as advanced as the original, it does show a great deal of Stark’s ingenuity.

Unlike the previous Iron Man Mark, the Mark III is a little more durable than the Mark I. While the Mark I was still relatively unsuitable for use in space, it’s a much better option than its predecessor. It fixes the freezing issue and adds shoulder-mounted machine guns and wrist-mounted missiles. The Mark III also features the classic red and gold color scheme. The Mark IV is briefly seen at the 2010 Stark Expo. It has a manually removable helmet.

The Mark I was originally designed as a drone, with a steel plating that serves as its defense. But the Mark II armor is sleeker and features a fully functioning HUD and JARVIS. It still can’t reach high altitudes, but it can protect its pilot from falling debris. This movie’s first installment had a lot of fun and made Marvel fans swoon. You’ll see why this movie is still a favorite.

Tony Stark’s armor has many flaws. While the Mark I was a fantastic suit, it left the knees and back vulnerable. Despite its shortcomings, it was far more durable than the Mark I, and the upcoming sequel will reveal even more about the suit. Whether or not the Mark I will see space action, this suit can survive the fight. So what are you waiting for? Make sure you check it out today!

While the Iron Man Mark I armor has flaws, it still has some great features that make it a unique and iconic piece of Marvel Cinematic Universe cinema. Among them is the fact that its name is so famous that it’s practically synonymous with its wearer’s name: Tony Stark. This billionaire philanthropist was on a mission in the Middle East in the 1970s. When he learned that his troops were being targeted, he fled in his armor. Eventually, Stark developed the Mark I suit for himself and joined The Avengers. He also has a tower named after him, which he eventually turned into an Avengers Tower.
