Iron Man Hall of Armor Set Review

Whether you’re a long-time Iron Man fan or just getting into the MCU, it’s hard to ignore the fact that Tony Stark’s collection of suits is quite spectacular. The various models are kept in a space called the Hall of Armor in his workshop at his Malibu mansion, a location featured prominently during the earlier films in the series. The set 76125, which is based on this area of the Stark mansion, recreates the space using a modular design that’s very similar to the 76007 Stark Mansion Attack set from 2013.

The core of the set is nine almost identical armour bay sections, designed to be able to clip together in different configurations. These are connected by a central podium section that can be spun around and two posable robotic arms for Tony to get suited up. There are also other sections, including a kitchen, desk, weapon storage and tool storage modules, Iron Man suit display panels and a radar dish.

There’s a lot of space to move about the Hall of Armor, thanks to its modular design, which should be a big hit with fans looking to create their own versions of it and play with them. The armour bays can also be stacked on top of each other, which will certainly appeal to anyone looking for a new way to display their growing collection.

The set includes four of the different suits worn by Tony Stark throughout the first three movies, as well as his most recent Mark 50 model, which he uses in Avengers: Infinity War and the upcoming Avengers: Endgame. The suits all look great, with crisp printing on the front and rear of the torsos as well as the fronts of the legs. There are also a few stickers that provide some additional detailing, like the arc reactors on the backs of the suits and graph detail on the computer screens in Tony’s office.

This set isn’t without its faults though, and it should be noted that the Hall of Armor isn’t quite as detailed or authentic as it could be. That’s not necessarily a criticism of the set, which is still pretty good overall, but it may be an issue for those who are seeking to get as close as possible to the film sets that this one is based on.

Those issues aside, the Iron Man Hall of Armor is a solid MOC that provides plenty of opportunities to play and display some very impressive armours. It’s a simple build and won’t take a huge amount of time to complete, but it’s also a very satisfying creation that should be highly popular with fans of the MCU. It’s a bit of a shame that this set won’t be available until 2020, but there’s no reason to wait for it, as there are other excellent MCU sets that you can get your hands on in the meantime. They all include their own unique minifigures too, so you’re not missing out on anything by waiting.
