Iron Man Comic
The Iron Man comic has established itself as a staple of the comic book world and it is probably because of its creator, Frank Miller. The success of the comic has led to the creation of many derivative series such as the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Spider-Man. These series have managed to build up an enormous fan base and they continue to be hugely successful today.
The success of the comic has lead to a spin off movie series, the Iron Man franchise, also from Frank Miller. This film series follows the story of Tony Stark, who lives in modern day New York City. He runs a successful company called Stark Industries which deals with producing high technology equipment. He has three teenage sons who are named Rhodey, Carter and Horus. Rhodey is the brains of the company and is considered the father figure of all of his sons, while Carter is his friend and is the younger half of the family. The late Dr. Curt Connor is the director of the medical research division of the company.
The current storyline revolves around a virus that is known as the Mandarin Cancer. This virus has been introduced into the earth, when a plane carrying Chinese tourists crashes in New York. This virus has killed most of the Chinese on board the plane and has taken over the minds of the young Chinese girls. It has then taken over the life of Mandarin and has been trying to find a cure for the virus.
