Iron Man and His Sacrifice – Other Ways to End the MCU

As far as Marvel movies go, it’s hard to imagine any of them being able to top the epic story of Iron Man and his ultimate sacrifice in Infinity War. It’s the most powerful ending to the MCU, and one of the best superhero film endings in general that we’ve seen in recent years. It’s the perfect sendoff for a character who helped bring the superhero genre into the mainstream, and it’s the most fitting end to a long, storied run. But it’s not the only way to end Infinity War — there are other ways to tie things up that would be just as satisfying and also offer some closure for the series.

The first way to tie up Infinity War is by letting Tony Stark die in a spectacular manner that would honor his legacy and give a good conclusion to the story of an irresponsible playboy who became an altruistic superhero. Putting him down for the count would be a fitting end for this arc, as it would allow him to finally face his daddy issues and reclaim his evil legacy for the good side. Plus, it’d be a fitting way to conclude a story that started with an exploding car and ended with a cosmic battle.

There are other ways for Iron Man to end his run in the MCU, but none are as satisfying and touching. Another is for him to sacrifice himself, which would complete his arc and give him a proper sendoff. It’d be a fitting swan song for this iteration of the character, as it’s the most fully developed and he’s the only one with the courage to take on a threat like Thanos in the first place.

He’s the only hero who truly cares about his friends, family, and the world at large — unlike the rest of his teammates who are just trying to make money or get their names in the paper. Plus, he’s the only one who’s willing to fight back against a supervillain that wants to destroy the universe for no particular reason other than his own ego and desire for power.

The other thing about this incarnation of the character is that it’s the only one that doesn’t have to hide his identity. The fact that Tony openly reveals himself to the people who matter most in his life — Pepper and James Rhodes (Terrence Howard) — is a major change from previous MCU films.

In terms of his fighting abilities, the Mark L armor is better than any other suit he’s ever worn. It has a number of upgrades, including thruster-enhanced repulsors that can fire blasts of blue energy that are more powerful and devastating than their predecessors. It also has a Unibeam that strips alien metal with ease.

However, the most important upgrade is that it doesn’t have a secret identity! This is a major step in the right direction, especially after the problems with secret identities on other shows like Arrow and The Flash.
