How the Mandarin Came to Be

Iron Man has been one of the most successful movies released this year. It has proven to be a box office smash and it is the reason why Marvel Comics have such a large number of characters to build upon in future films. It was so successful that the makers of the movie came up with spin offs for the character. The first of these was a television show, “icles of evil”. The show did great ratings and so did the spin offs. So far we have seen “The Avengers” and “X-Men: Dark Phoenix”.

There was also a comic book series starring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Elizabeth Henstridge as Elizabeth Suburgiar as Dr. Susan Strong. I enjoyed those shows a lot. They told a good story and executed it well. However, “The Iron Man” movies take it to the next level.

The costumes are awesome. The Iron Man 2 costume looks very similar to the one worn by Tony in the film. On the other side of that, the comics version is completely different. It has more of a “suit” like look instead of a full on costume. The red and gold costume is the one that everyone seems to be falling in love with.

However, there is one problem with that costume. The helmet looks quite uncomfortable and bulky. It tends to be a bit too heavy and it does restrict some range of motion when wearing the costume. That being said, I still think it is worth buying. If you can afford it, then by all means, go ahead and buy it.

One issue that I thought was a little silly is how they have Tony’s head on a stick. It is not looked very authentic in my opinion. I guess they had to include that because it is always shown in movies that the Mandarin is Chinese. It would not have worked otherwise.

Overall, this costume is awesome. It is very realistic and will give you hours of fun. There are several things that might make it a little difficult to maneuver. So be careful and do not get hit!

For those that do not want the full Mandarin costume, you can always opt for the regular costume. It comes in black, burgundy and all the colors of the rainbow. Just like the Mandarin, it has great functionality. For a red costume, I would recommend having the black one on the bottom so that way, if you were to get hit by something, it would stay put.

I think overall the Iron Man costumes are awesome. They are very realistic. You feel like you are part of the Marvel Universe. I have seen people’s reaction when they see the Mandarin fall to the ground.

If you do purchase the Mandarin costume, make sure you let your kids know where you got it from. It would be a good costume to pass on to your son or daughter. Then they can just enjoy wearing it for years to come. Happy Halloween!
