How Iron Man Endgame Could Change the Future of the MCU

If you’re a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, chances are you’ve already seen Avengers: Endgame. It’s been a huge milestone for the series, bringing together some of the most iconic heroes in the MCU, and putting an end to the Infinity War. But it’s also one of the most painful and heart-wrenching moments in the franchise.

The climax of the film features Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) killing himself in order to save the world from Thanos’ destructive powers. As a result, it’s a moment that’s deeply ingrained in MCU fans’ minds.

But while the death of Iron Man in Endgame is an unavoidable and inevitable part of the Marvel canon, it doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. Despite being a painful occurrence for fans, it’s an extremely necessary one. It’s a reminder that Tony Stark changed for the better, a change that he had been working towards since he first donned the suit in 2008.

He went from self-serving war profiteer to totally selfless hero, and the way he died was the perfect way to pay tribute to his transformation. His death in Endgame is a great way to say goodbye to a character that RDJ had perfected over the course of a decade.

During his funeral service, Pepper’s gift for Tony emblazoned with the phrase “Proof that Tony Stark has a heart” was floated out on a lake. It’s a touching moment that’s meant to be a tribute to Tony’s legacy as a brilliant billionaire, but it could also be a metaphor for the hero’s death.

It’s also an incredibly powerful connection between the MCU and the Fantastic Four. It adds a new layer of meaning to the event that took place in Endgame, and it would likely help connect these two groups of heroes in an even deeper way than they already are.

There’s another way that Endgame’s climax can potentially change the future of the MCU, and it involves a time travel machine that was revealed by Hugh Jackman during his recent Deadpool 3 appearance. It could allow Marvel to bring Iron Man back from the past.

That’s an interesting concept, and it’s not impossible that it could happen. But it’s going to require a lot of work on Marvel’s part.

To make it work, they’ll have to grab Iron Man somewhere in the past and transport him back to the present. That could be done by using the Infinity Stones, which is what Thanos used to destroy half of the universe.

They’ll then have to put him back in time, and they’ll need to do that while also preventing him from becoming too overwhelmed by the experience. That’s going to be a pretty difficult task, but if they can do it successfully, it would give the Avengers something to fight for in Secret Wars.

Sadly, though, it looks like Marvel’s plans to bring Iron Man back won’t be happening any time soon. That’s because it looks like Marvel would have to use the Infinity Stones to rewind time to before Endgame, and that’s going to be a very complex process.
