Does Iron Man’s Daughter Exist in the Comics?

iron man daughter

The end of Avengers: Endgame was a bit rough on everyone, but it did provide a few moments of hope. The one that struck a chord with many was the appearance of Tony Stark’s daughter. She was a sweet little thing that reminded us all of the good things in the world. And, of course, she had some pretty amazing powers. So, does Iron Man’s daughter exist in the comics? The answer is yes, though her origin story is a bit different.

Cassie Lang

In the MCU, she’s known as “Iron Man’s daughter,” and she first appeared in 2018. She was a kid who liked to build stuff, and her father loved to give her advice. This all came to a head when she reverse-engineered the Mark-41 armor and began to use it for her own super-powered purposes. Eventually, she was able to stop some criminals and became a real-life superhero in her own right, becoming the new Ant-Man.

She’s an established member of the Young Avengers team, along with Hulkling and Iron Lad. She can manipulate her size using Pym particles, which means she can get up to 40 feet tall or shrink down to the size of an ant. Her father may be trapped in the Quantum Realm, but she’s determined to make her own way as a hero.

Morgan Stark

Throughout the MCU, we’ve seen Pepper Potts and Tony Stark have a daughter named Morgan. This little girl is a big fan of her father’s work, and she even has a bit of his own personality. She’s a smart, sweet, and spirited person who’s always willing to help if she can.

It was revealed in Avengers: Infinity War that Morgan’s name was inspired by her uncle. She grew up on the Stark Residence, and her and her father lived a happy life together until Thanos snapped his fingers and wiped out half of all life in the universe. After the Snap, Morgan went to the Soul World and spoke with her father in an epic deleted scene from Avengers: Endgame.

The scene was a heartwarming one that showed the bond between a father and daughter. Sadly, it was cut from the final version of the film, but Marvel Studios did release the clip for fans to enjoy. While the scene wasn’t a full appearance, it was enough to let fans know that Morgan will return in the future. Hopefully, she’ll be an important part of the next Avengers film, Avengers Secret Wars. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen, but we’re definitely excited to see the character again.
