The death of Tony Stark in Avengers: Endgame was a sad moment for everyone involved. Not only did it mark the end of the hero’s life, but it also marked the end of the era that he created. As a result, it’s no surprise that almost every hero from the MCU turned out to pay their respects at his funeral. That includes all the surviving Avengers, as well as other MCU characters like General Ross and Nick Fury. However, there was one very special person who showed up at Iron Man’s funeral that few people noticed.
If you’ve seen the latest Avengers movie, then you probably know that Tony Stark was laid to rest after sacrificing himself to ensure Thanos’ defeat. The scene is a very moving moment that featured many of the MCU’s most beloved characters. There were even a few new faces, such as the Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel. However, a certain someone from the past also showed up to pay his respects. It’s a character that many viewers didn’t realize was in the funeral scene until now.
A lot of MCU fans were very confused by the appearance of a certain kid in the funeral scene. Some assumed he was the son of a famous character, while others thought it could have been the offspring of a former Avenger. Fortunately, the identity of the mystery kid has now been revealed. It turns out that the child is none other than Harley Keener, the kid from Iron Man 3.
MCU fans have been very excited to see how many of their favorite stars returned for Avengers: Endgame. It’s no surprise that a few actors didn’t return, but it was great to see the Russo brothers give the fans what they want with so many of their most beloved characters.
While most of the characters that were at Iron Man’s funeral were people who knew him well, it would have made sense to have a few members of his family show up as well. That’s especially true considering the fact that he was the CEO of Stark Industries for years. It wouldn’t have been out of the ordinary to have a few employees from his company come out to pay their respects.
Of course, it was also very touching to see Pepper and Morgan embrace each other at the funeral. They were Tony’s children and it was a good reminder of how much the two of them loved their father. The only other member of the family that showed up was Dum-E, who was probably just there to support his friends.
It’s worth mentioning that Stan Lee made one last cameo in Avengers: Endgame, but it wasn’t for the scene depicting Iron Man’s funeral. Instead, he was in the scene with Steve Rogers and Tony Stark as they traveled back in time. Nevertheless, it was still a great way to see the legendary actor once again.
